Genius Gaming Headset (Page 2 of 4)

The Headset

HeadsetGenius have in there portfolio a set of gaming headphones which is designed to cover a multitude of tasks such as listening to music, on-line communication, gaming and even using Skype.

Frame

Instead of my usual plastic finish, the HS - 04SU is comprised mostly of metal - sturdy metal. The headband consists both of a metal frame with a leather strap to provide comfort during wear.

The headset too is completely adjustable and also has retaining cords on the earpiece to ensure they do not “over-swivel”.

The earpieces have a comfortable rubber surface and foam lined inside for maximum comfort. These completely surround the ear improving the sound quality provided - something that my cheaper headsets refused to go.

The microphone boom is also comprised of metal which is designed to allow the microphone to be flexible and positioned almost at any angle for comfort and ultimately better sound pickup. Added to the fact that it has a noise cancellation built in. Earpiece

It seems Genius have placed a lot of thought into the comfort and factor - both the look and the feel of this headset is fantastic.

Built into the plaited cable is a manual control for volume and microphone on/off.

However, the headset does look great - but will it perform as well.
