Revoltec Light Mouse And Mat Review (Page 1 of 2)
Lightmouse

With the plethora of available mice around on the market, most consumers tend to stick with the trusty “named” brands, or those recommended by friends/associates.
Therefore, unusual mice tend to be on the fringes and can be ignored when looking for a replacement or additional mouse.
With many users adding light effects to their case modding, it seems Revoltec have allowed this to be phased into their peripheral equipment. The Revoltec lightmouse includes additional light features as part of the overall build.
First impression of the mouse was “gaudy” although the contrast between the black and silver was appealing it went a little overboard with the silver flashing on both of the buttons. Additionally, powering on the mouse through the USB port (mouse is also available with PS2) the lighting features of the mouse struck me as unusual.
The mouse-wheel glows an appealing blue and the logo on the back end of the mouse flows through an alternating display of different colours. Add in the red glow of the laser on the mouse base and you have a multitude of different colours fairly effective in a darkened room.

Its only when you actually start using this mouse, that you really appreciate the design. The mouse fits comfortably into the palm of the hand and can be used either right or left handed with no discomfort. The Teflon feet provide excellent gliding capability and imparts fantastic sensitivity during use.
Using the mouse as a travelling mouse (for use through work and portable with laptop) is also possible. The cable for the mouse is a good deal narrower than other mice I have experienced and the mouse, while being large enough for every day use, is small enough to be portable.
That said, the mouse more than takes care of itself during online gaming (Condition Zero). Very fluid and responsive. The only draw back is that it doesnt have enough buttons (compared to my existing MX700)
The mouse has a solid feel to it, with the mouse clicks more of a clunk, a solid clunk which increases the confidence during use.
Priced at around £10, this must be a bargain.
